The first worship service of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. was held on Palm Sunday in March of 1963 in a storefront located at 1546 W. Jefferson Blvd., Los Angeles, California. Less than ten souls were present at the opening of this new ministry founded by Leroy A. Chappelle in obedience to the persistent and urgent unction of the Holy Ghost.

    Approximately nine months later we purchased the property at 5320 W. Adams Blvd., where many souls were added to the church. The property underwent remodeling and expansion, resulting in a very beautiful edifice by 1984.

    Through the divine intervention of the Lord we again re-located on July 4, 1993, to our present location at 3719 W. Slauson Avenue, Los Angeles, California.

    Today, over 30 years later, the congregation has grown to approximately 300. We have a complete range of auxiliaries and ministries designed to meet the needs of body, soul, and spirit.
